Wellness Resources

The Nebraska Dental Association is committed to supporting the well-being of Nebraska dentists and the entire dental team. Dentistry can be a rewarding profession, but it can also come with significant stress, physical demands, and the pressures of running a practice.

Prioritizing personal well-being helps dental professionals maintain balance, provide excellent patient care, and sustain long, fulfilling careers.

Members of the dental community have access to a variety of wellness resources through the American Dental Association. These resources are designed to support mental health, physical health, and overall professional well-being.

Resources available through the ADA include:

  • Tools to assess your personal well-being

  • Guidance on managing stress and preventing burnout

  • Ergonomic tips to reduce physical strain in clinical practice

  • Mental health and peer support resources for dentists and dental teams

The ADA also offers the Dental Well-Being Index, an anonymous self-assessment tool developed by the Mayo Clinic to help clinicians evaluate their risk for burnout, fatigue, anxiety, and depression.
