Well-Being

COVID-19 taught us a lot of things, most notably, the importance of taking care of ourselves.

The NDA wants all dentists and their staff to be well. That can be challenging during these stressful times. Healthcare professionals are often hesitant to seek assistance and as a result they suffer in silence. Some also have concerns over confidentiality which makes them hesitant to get assistance.

To help dental professionals in Nebraska, the NDA has created this page for resources and direction.

We we continually update this page, so please check back for updates.

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States. When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

The Alliance of the American Dental Association contains resources in the following areas: Addiction and Support, Hearing and Audiology, Sleep and Sleeping Disorders & Surviving Spouse.
