UNMC Offering Expanded Function Dental Assistant Course
The Nebraska Board of Dentistry approved UNMC's Course for Expanded Function Dental Assistants during its October 13th meeting.
Date of Course: Jan. 27, 2024.
Registration Deadline: Jan. 19, 2024.
Prerequisite: 1,500 hours chairside experience for unlicensed dental assistants and dental hygienists. UNMC plans plan to take up to 35 assistants/hygienists.
1,500 hours as a LDA is not required to take the course but is required before one can apply for a license.
